Today I discovered another social network: Hunch. Hunch personalizes the internet by getting to know you and then making smart recommendations about what you might like. In a sense, Hunch is the very essence of a PPN, the “Personal Personalized Network“.
Hunch’s ambitious mission is to build a ‘taste graph’ of the entire web, connecting every person on the web with their affinity for anything, from books to electronic gadgets to fashion or vacation spots. Hunch is at the forefront of combining algorithmic machine learning with user-curated content, with the goal of providing better recommendations for everyone.
Hunch provides personalized recommendations on tens of thousands of topics on Hunch.com and is now partnering with other companies to power custom recommendations on 3rd-party sites and applications. The personalization starts by Hunch getting to know you a series of questions (20 in total): what do you like; how do you think; who are you? Then, Hunch builds a taste profile mapping your unique tastes & preferences to the people, places and things all around you which you might like. The result is great recommendations that are customized just for you. As many other networks, Hunch is free, and it is accessible through your Facebook or Twitter accounts.

In Italiano:
